Item - This is a lovely well made serving tray for hold or cold foods made with different types of native New Zealand Timbers/Woods laminated together, produced by the Sovereign Woodworkers Limited of Whanganui, New Zealand, Circa 1960/70s. The Tray retains it's original paper label to the underside (please see pics)

Maker - Sovereign Woodworkers Limited of New Zealand

Stamps - The Bowl retains it's original paper label that reads as follows - No. 68B "SOVEREIGN" NEW ZEALAND TIMBERS Species named from centre Taraire, Totara, Matai, Totara, Kahikatea, Rimu, Kahikatea, Rewarewa, Matai, Rewarewa Made in New Zealand by SOVEREIGN WOODWORKERS LTD. There is a further label below that reads - FOR SERVING HOT OR COLD FOODS RINSE AND DRY MADE IN NEW ZEALAND BY SOVEREIGN WOODWORKERS LTD., WANGANUI.

Other Interesting Points - Sovereign Woodworkers Limited of Whanganui, New Zealand started creating souvenirs made of New Zealand Timbers in the early 1960s including Rulers, Pencil Boxes, Bowls, Lidded Jars, Trays, Models, Tea Stands and even Tables; briefly being known as Sovereign Woodware in the 1980s they are now part of the Timber Arts Company of Bulls, New Zealand (Please see all Photos).
