Item - Vintage "St. Regis" Advertising Wooden Coat Hanger, Circa 1920/30s; printed with the details - "HOTEL ST. REGIS - NEW YORK", The St. Regis opened it's door on September 4, 1904 and was built by one of the wealthiest men in America, John Jacob Astor IV, as a companion to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, of which he owned half. Eight years after the hotel opened, John Jacob Astor perished in the sinking of the RMS Titanic
