Item - Vintage "The Acme" Twin Tube Whistle with lipped angled mouthpiece produced by J Hudson & Co of Birmingham, England, Circa 1940/50s, this is a earlier version as the tubes are one piece and not capped and also stamped "The Acme" (please see pics).

Other Interesting Points - Angled Mouthpiece Whistles originally advertised as 'The Universal' from the 1900s and were aimed at cyclists and sports umpires, the name was changed to "The Acme" in the mid 1940s, then by the 1970s they became stamped "Acme Regd".
