Item - Vintage Calculator, Trufood Infant Weight/Obstetric Calculator, Circa 1960s; used to work out expected date of delivery and growth rate of the baby. The Double Sided Rectangular Slide Rule is made from two pieces of plastic (celluloid) with a central metal rivet, allowing the central round disks to rotate within the rectangular. The Calculator was produced for Trufood as a give away to professionals (midwifes, etc....); Trufood went on to amalgamate with Cow & Gate in the early 1970s.

Maker - Unknown; but produced for Trufood Limited of Green Bank, London, E.1.

Circa - 1950s

Construction -  Plastic

Country of Origin - Not Marked but believe to be English

Dimensions - 4" by 2.75"

Weight - 6 gram

Condition - Excellent Used Condition

Other Interesting Points - This particular slide rule is double sided with the scales as follows -

Side One - Dial System to work out babies expected delivery date from first day of last period. 

Side Two - Dial System to work out babies expected growth rate

Note regarding the pictures - Depending on your screen the slide rule may appear to look a little yellow but it is in fact the pictures.....the slide rule is more of a white/ivorine colour.....
