This particular example dates from that period, a advertising piece for Mackintosh's Toffee is a sweet created by Sweet Shop Owner John Mackintosh of Halifax, Yorkshire, England (established in 1890), the idea for Mackintosh's Toffee, not too hard and not too soft, came soon after. In 1969, Mackintosh's merged with rival Rowntree to form Rowntree Mackintosh, which then merged with Nestlé in 1988.
