Item - Vintage Long Handled Nylon Faced No.5 Patent 501310 (granted 1939) Thor Mallet made by The Thor Hammer Company of Birmingham, England, Circa 1930-1950s; the tool is cast with the number '5' to one side of the head and the makers and patent details to the other side.   

Maker -  The Thor Hammer Company of Birmingham, England

Marks - Cast with 5 to the head...referring to the size; and also PATENT 501310 THOR MADE IN ENGLAND.

Circa - 1930/50s

Construction -  Hickory Handle, Cast Metal Head finished with Nylon Plugs (to aid not marking surfaces).

Country of Origin - England

Dimensions - 35" in length

Weight - 3943 gram (just short of 4 kilogram)

Condition - Excellent Used Condition with the most lovely patination and very soild....ideal for use or display (please see all photos)
