Item - Vintage Long Handled 7lb Felling Axe by Bullock Brothers of Walsall, England for the GPO (General Post Office), Dated 1968 (Please See All Pics); this type of axe would have been used by GPO Workers to clear trees and vegetation to make way for Telegraph Poles for Telephone Lines.   

Maker - Bullock Brothers of Walsall, England

Marks - Hand Stamped with BULLOCK BROS G.P.O 1968 and the number 6... most likely signifying that it is a 6lb Head, though the axe is closer to 7lb.

Circa - 1968

Construction - Wood Handle, Metal Head.

Country of Origin - England

Dimensions - 35" in length

Weight - 3529gram (7lb 12 1/2oz)

Condition - Very Good Used Condition and very usable; good solid head and strong handle may require a little sharpening to suits ones taste (please see all photos)
