Item - Vintage Short Handled Brades 'Criterion' No.1 2lb Axe with Hickory Handle, Circa 1930-1950s (please see pics).   

Maker - William Hunt & Sons of Birmingham, England 

Marks - Stamped to the head with MADE IN ENGLAND BRADES CRITERION 378 to one side and then hand stamped with No 1 to the other side..

Circa - 1930/50s

Construction -  Hickory Handle, Cast Metal Head.

Country of Origin - England.

Dimensions - 16.75" in length

Weight - 907 gram (2lb)

Condition - Excellent Used Condition and very usable; good solid head and strong handle may require a little sharpening to suits ones taste (please see all photos)
