Item - Vintage Faux Tortoiseshell 10-10k Rolled Gold Patent Spectacles, Circa 1940s in L. G. Cottingham, Cambridge Street, Wellingborough Shagreen Case complete with Sight Registration Card (dated 28th Jan 1941) and original lens cloth.

Case (y/n) - Yes - Embossed to the front with the details - Cottingham CAMBRIDGE ST. Wellingborough, the 'shagreen' case has a green velvet interior with a original numbered 'loss or breakage' label

Other Interesting Points - A fantastic pair of 1940s Patent Spectacles, well made and in Excellent Condition, the lenses are easily changed by an optician to suit ones eyes! Unusually these spectacles also feature 10-10k Rolled Gold Nose Pieces which are not commonly found on this type of spectacles. The spectacles also come complete with original case, sight registration card and lens cloth.
