Item  - Vintage 2lb Shop Bar Weight cast with STAD for standard, would make unusual paperweight or nice addition to collection. The weight has a lead insert which is stamped with a verification mark but unfortunately unreadable.  

Maker - STAD (British Imperial Standard or Exchequer Standard)

Locality Stamp - Non Found

Date Stamp - Not Visible

Cypher Stamp - Not Visible

Other Stamps - Cast to the top with the Standard Mark, 2 LBS and under the handle there is also a name, possibly makers.

Construction - Cast Iron Bar Type

Country of Origin - England

Dimensions - 3" by 2" (1.875" in height)

Weight - 901 gram

Condition - Very Good Used Condition, though quite corroded under the original paint 

Other Interesting Points - This is a rather nice cast iron bar weight that would make an interesting addition to a collection or even a paperweight for the desk!
