Item - Vintage Mini George H Lawrence 'Laurel' Ladies Boudoir Razor complete in it's original tin with two card inserts, Circa 1930/40s (please see all photos).

Maker - G. H. Lawrence Ltd of Sheffield

Stamps - Moulded to the head with LAUREL and MADE IN ENGLAND.

Type - Mini 3 Piece Safety

Circa - 1935-40

Construction - Metal & Bakelite Head with Knurled 'Ball End' Metal Handle.

Razor Length - 1.625" in length (Tin Box dimensions 1.75" by 1.125" with a height of 0.625")

Weight - 21 gram

Condition - The Razor & Tin are in Very Good Used Condition (please refer to pics).

Other Interesting Points - George Laurence the man behind 'Laurel' Razors and once director of Sheffield United Football Club was an extremely kind and generous man, and a great public benefactor to Sheffield and to his home town of Hathersage, Derbyshire.

He was killed in an air raid during 1940 in Sheffield after hearing that the factories were being bombed, he left his home in Derbyshire and drove to Sheffield in the night to take his workers sandwiches and tea. He was killed alongside eight members of his staff when his factory took a direct hit.
