Vintage Playing Card Game Belisha Pepys Series Castell Brothers Ltd London & Glasgow Rule Book 1930s Rummy Road Safety Signs

Item - Vintage Pepys Series Belisha Card Game by Castell Brothers Ltd of London & Glasgow, Circa 1930/40s; the box is complete (52 Cards with each card having a different image - see below for list), 1 Joker and comes complete with 16 page rule book. A Card Game similar to Rummy for 2, 3, 4 or more players, the cards depict a motor journey from London to Oban with some humorous sketches interposed. There are 13 sets of 4 traffic signs, depicted in the top left corner, serial numbers 1 to 13 in each of 4 colours; Yellow, Green, Red and Blue; with the numbers repeated under the traffic signs for each reference. As mentioned above the card game comes complete with rule book, the pack also has a lovely addition to the inside of the lid... a original printed cutting probably from a newspaper entitled 'A Game for Christmas', but we here at Retonthenet think that 'Belisha' is most certainly a game for anytime.
