Vintage Medical Tool Allen & Handburys Reflex Hammer Percussor National Hospital Pattern 1930s
- Customer Reviews
This is a early reflex hammer/percussor made by Allen & Handburys Limited of London in the National Hospital Pattern, Circa 1930s, with ebonite (a early form of plastic) handle and nickel plated disc head with rubber ring, this though is well worn. The percussor is stamped to the head with the makers details - ALLAN & HANDBURYS LTD LONDON, which appears to be a mis-stamp as it should be Allen rather than Allan, the head is also etched with the number W14, a reference number from a previous user, most probably a hospital. The black ebonite handle is also etched with a reference number W5. (Please see all Photos). The Instrument measures 8.875" in length and is in Very Good Used Condition, though the rubber ring is well worn through age and use, plus the instrument is etched with previous owners reference numbers (Please Refer to Photos).
