Item - Vintage Brass Ergos of Sheffield Ice Cream Wafer Maker, Circa 1930s; this device was used by setting the handle (3 size settings), dropping a wafer in the top...ice cream was then added and smoothed with a palette knife, topped with another wafer, the loop on the handle was then pushed up to eject the complete ice cream wafer....very clever! The device is stamped with the 'Ergos' mark and the registration number 727258, which was granted in 1927 by the British Patents Office.
