Other Interesting Points - This rather unusual egg timer has a certrain Baroque/Regency Charm but it is most likely a 1950s creation by Giltoy of Birmingham as they registered this design in the 1950s taking an influence from a much earlier 18th Century Baroque Style... mainly seen in Candlestick form.
Giltoy were a Pressure die casting company based at Progress Works, 39/41, Aston Road North, Birmingham, Circa 1950/60s. The manufactured many items including Motor Car and Motorcycle Cycle & Bicycle Parts, Toys (Gilco Die Cast Signs), Fancy Goods, Household Items including Table Lamps, Candlesticks, Hearth Furniture, etc...
