Item - Vintage Ivorine (A Form of Early Plastic) Boentgen & Sabin of Solingen, Germany Folding Melon Tester Knife, Circa 1920-30s; melon tester knives have been used by produce buyers since the late 19th century to cut small plugs from melons to check for ripeness (Please See All Pics).
Maker - Boentgen & Sabin of Solingen, Germany under their trademark name of 'Bonsa'.
Marks - Stamped to the tang of the blade with BONSA SOLINGEN FOREIGN. and then to the reverse side a ball & boot treadmark.
Circa - 1920-30s
Construction - Solingen Steel
Country of Origin - Germany
Length - 5.5" in length (closed)
Weight - 62 gram
Condition - Excellent Used Condition with just some very light scratches to the blade (please see all photos)
