Item - Vintage Barlow Pocket Knife produced by the Imperial Knife Company of Listowel, County Kerry, Republic of Ireland under the 'Sabre' brand name.   

Maker - The Imperial Knife Company of Listowel, County Kerry, Republic of Ireland.

Marks - Tang stamped SABRE IRELAND, the knife is also stamped both sides BARLOW to the caps.

Circa - 1980s

Construction - Steel, Plastic Scales and Nickel Plated Caps.

Country of Origin - Ireland

Length - 4.75" in length (closed)

Weight - 68 gram

Condition - Excellent Used Condition, with good firm opening and no blade wobble (please see all photos). 

Other Interesting Points - Vintage Sabre Knives marked with the country Ireland were made by The Imperial Knife Company factory in Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland under the Imperial Schrade corporation.

The Factory opened in early 1960s and manufactured various folding pocket knives, fishing knives, and multi-tools often sold under sub-brands like Sabre, Imperial, and Schrade, production at the Irish Factory halted in March 2004 due to rising labor costs and overseas competition.
