This is a vintage nursery rhyme toffee tin, that original contained Horner Confectionery, Circa 1950s. The tin has a pictorial pull off lid that depicting the Old Woman who lived in a shoe, the sides are then printed with the nursery rhyme as follows - There was a Old Woman who lived in a shoe, She had so many Children, She didn't know what to do. She gave them some Broth without any Bread and whipped them all soundly and sent them to Bed. The base of the tin is printed with the following details - MADE IN ENGLAND BY GEORGE W. HORNER & CO. LTD., CHESTER-LE-STREET, COUNTY OF DURHAM. The Tin measures approx 5.375" by 4.25" (height of 1.375") and is in Good 'Very Well Used' Conditon, with quite a lot staining and fading, still quite a unusual tin and hard-to-find though.
