Item - Vintage G H Needham of Sheffield Moulded green glass 'stem type' eye bath of unknown maker; Circa 1930/40s. This eye bath still retains it's original retailers paper label to the base...which reads, G H NEEDHAM M.P.S. CHEMIST MANOR SHEFFIELD.
George Harold Needham operated as a chemist from c1929 to 1965 originally at 53 and then 57 Fairleigh, Manor, 288 Prince of Wales Road and 198 Ridgeway Road, Sheffield...so this eye bath most likely dates from the early period of Mr Needham's dispensary period (Please see all Photos)
Maker - Unknown (Either the makers mark is hidden by the retailers label or it was mass produced by a larger maker...most likely the later)
Material Type - Moulded Glass
Type - Stem
Circa - 1930/40s
Boxed (Y/N) - No
Dimensions - 2.75" in height
Weight - 52 gram
Condition - Very Good Used Condition with no chips...though there is a few flaws within the glass (not the best moulding ever)...and what appears to be a light hairline crack to the interior...but could just be another flaw (please refer to photos)
Other Interesting Points - Unusual to find eye baths with their original 'Chemist' or 'Druggist' label attached.
(Please see all Photos).
