Item - Vintage Old Coach House of Wolverhampton Pottery Tankard, not marked but possibly produced by Empire Porcelain Company of Stoke on Trent, England for Dutton's Brewery of Blackburn, Circa 1950/60s.
This measured Pint Tankard is marked with the official weights & measures crown mark to the body, which includes the measure size, the Crown, the initials EIIR, and the Verification County number of 705 for Stoke-on-Trent where it was checked for accuracy, this in turn collates with the maker Empire who was a Potter in the Potteries.
The tankard was produced to be used within a Tavern/Bar, etc in Stoke-On-Trent, England....hence the Weights & Measures Verification mark.
The tankard is transfer decorated with two scenes one titled 'Henry VIII & The Abbott'
