Vintage Desk Office Brass King Arthur's Burial Cross Glastonbury Abbey Paper Knife Letter Opener Isle of Avalon
- Customer Reviews
Item - Hard to Find Vintage King Arthur's Burial Cross/Glastonbury Abbey Letter Opener, Circa 1950s maybe earlier but possibly produced around the time of Ralegh Radford's Re-excavation of the site at Glastonbury Abbey in 1958. This very solid and well made letter opener is formed at the top as King Arthur's Cross and has the latin inscription to one side that loosely translates to - "Here lies the famous King Arthur, buried in the isle of Avalon". The Other side is cast with the detail - Glastonbury Abbey the site of the Isle of Avalon, the date 1191 (date of discovery) and the basic translation - "Here Lies Buried Arthur"
