Marks - The Opener is cast to one side with - "HAMMONDS UNITY" and to the other side "GUARDS ALE"; the opener is also cast to the top of the mouth on one side with the Design Registration Number 811274 (this granted in 1937), and to the other side the Patent Number 466444 (this granted in 1938) giving us the date of Circa 1940/50s
