Other Interesting Points - This tin once contained biscuits from Carrs & Co of Carlisle, England. The lid of the tin is inset with a glass mirror with art nouveau influenced surround. The tin was designed so once the biscuits were all consumed the lid could be removed, the two small holes in the rim then located and then twine/string threaded through and the mirror could be hung on the wall...clever! Also one of the reasons why this particular tin is hard to find complete as the lids were hung on the wall and the bases sent to the bin.
