Item - Vintage Boxed Mitre Sandow 4 Spring Chest Expander in Original Box complete with original 22 Page 'How to Improve your Body' Book, Circa 1960/70s (please see all pics).
This particular set was retailed by The Sports Shop of Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, England.

Construction - Nickel Plated with Steel Springs and red stained wooden handles, Card Box and Instruction Book.
Circa - 1960/70s.
Box Dimensions - 14.75" by 6.875" (depth 2.375").
Combined Weight - 1669g
Condition - The Chest Expander is in Excellent Used Condition and fully usable complete with springs. The Card Box & Instruction Book are in Very Good Used Condition, though the box has a old repair to one corner... the book is also in Very Good Used Condition, a few light marks...the progress chart within is also unused (please refer to photos)
Other Interesting Points - Eugen Sandow (April 2, 1867 – October 14, 1925), born Friederich Wilhelm Müller, was a pioneering body-builder of the Victorian era and is often referred to as the "Father of Modern Body-building".
