- Customer Reviews
Item - Vintage Book Ends with secret Money Box, Circa 1940s; the book ends are signed to the underside one with the inscription - "My Very Best Wishes for your kindness to Mable and Harry from Syd 22/5/44"; the family we purchased these from believe that they was made by a soldier who their family allowed to stay during WW2. The spine of the right hand book end lifts up to reveal a money slot for saving coins.... though it is unclear how the coins would have been retrieved (please see all photos).
