Brief Insight into Solidex Milk Savers

The Solidex Glass (Pyrex) Milk Saver is a rather handy device that is placed on the bottom of a saucepan to prevent boiling over. As boiling commences the disc gives a vibrating sound. For continuous boiling use low heat. May be used for milk, cocoa, any vegetables, macaroni and other pastas or liquids. Transparent (made from pyrex style or pyrex glass later versions), hygienic and easy to clean it is a boon to the busy housewife and is indispensable in the kitchen. The Solidex Milk Saver was made in France and distributed by Murrell Ltd of London, England. We have so far found two different types of boxes, both having the same fronts but different address for the distributor (Murell Limited)...

Item - Vintage Solidex Milk Saver DB/1S in Original Box in Excellent Used Condition, though the box has a few marks, this is a less common white box (please see pics). The Milk Saver is more frequently seen in the blue and orange boxes as above

Country of Origin - France

Dimensions - 3.25" in diameter

Weight - 116 gram in box

Condition - Excellent Used Condition though the box has a few marks as noted above (please see pics).
