Item - Vintage Bakelite Benjamin Electric Ltd Model B Light Intensity Meter complete in Original Case, Circa 1930s; this type of light meter was used for general light intensity i.e. workspace, factory lighting, etc... to make sure there was the correct amount of light for the job...by taking a reading from the front and checking it against the key to the back.

The meter is marked as being The Benjamin Lightmeter but have a feeling that this meter was made in conjunction with Western Electric Instrument Co. Ltd of Surrey, England... for two reasons - Firstly, it is near identical to the Western Lightometer  and secondly their name is printed at the top of the dial.

Circa - 1930s

Construction - Bakelite Meter in a Zipped Leather Case

Country of Origin - England

Dimensions - 4.75" by 2.75" (height 1.5")

Weight - 362 gram in case

Condition - Excellent Used Condition and in full working order, the case is a little edge worn but also in Excellent Used Condition with the zip fully working (please see all photos)
