Item - Pair of Early Patent Eugen Sandow's Patent Spring Grip Dumb-bells produced by Sandow's Grip Dumb Bell Company of Sandow Hall, Bury Street, London, Circa 1900; the company also had works in Burnham, Birmingham, Berlin, Paris and New York.
Maker - Sandow Grip Dumb-Bell Company of Sandow Hall, Bury Street, London, EnglandStamps - The Weights are stamped to their insides with the SANDOW name and also PATENT; unusually they also have a large 'S' to one side of the .
Construction - Cast Iron with Steel Springs and red vinyl/leatherette grips
Circa - 1900s
Dimensions - 6.5" in length
Weight - 2300 grams (1150 grams each dumbbell)
Condition - Weights are in Excellent Used Condition complete with all springs though there is some slight wear to the plating (please refer to photos)
