Item - Pair of Antique 19th Century Base Metal & Moulded Glass Epergnes with Stag & Leaf Design, Circa 1880s (Please see all Photos) 

Maker - Unknown

Marks - Ink Stamped to the underside with FOREIGN MAKE; the left epergne is also faintly printed to the front of the base with A PRESENT FROM..... so these epergnes would have originally been a souvenir, possibly from somewhere in Scotland.

Construction - Bases made from Spelter & Tin, with removable Moulded Glass Trumpets. 

Type - Epergnes 

Circa - 1880s

Dimensions -3.25" by 2.25" (One measures 6.25" in height, the other slight taller at 6.375")

Total Weight - 294 gram

Condition - Both Epergnes are in Very Good Used Condition with no chips or cracks, the glass trumpets are identical in design but one is slightly longer and the mouth is a little wider, this was quite often the case as the glass would have been made in a different factory to the bases and not to great accuracy and th assemblers would just grab one and stick it in a base and send them out (please refer to photos)
