Item - Original Vintage The Metropolitan General Service Whistle produced by H D Co (Not a maker we know), Circa 1930s; this whistle is rather unusual... a early copy of a Hudson Metropolitan Whistle most likely produced in Japan.

The Plating on the Whistle is a little more shinier than it's English counterparts and the casting on the ring and mouthpiece are a little rough and would have been finished a lot better if manufactured by Hudson, Dowler, etc...

This said as mentioned previously this whistle is rather unusual and would be a great addition to any whistle collection... Oh and if you are wondering the sound? It's virtually identical to the sound of any other General Service Whistle.

Marks - Stamped to the body - THE METROPOLITAN WHISTLE H D Co.

Circa - 1930s

Construction -  Nickel Plated Brass

Country of Origin - Not Marked but most likely Japan 

Dimensions - 3.625" in length

Weight - 35 gram

Condition - Excellent Used Condition though there is a slight ding to the bottom of one side of the window (please see all photos)
