Item - Original Antique 'The Kinglet' General Service Whistle produced by J Hudson & Co of Barr St, Birmingham, England, Circa 1920s; the outside of the whistle is not stamped with the makers mark but the trademark 'The Kinglet' was registered to Hudson's in 1907.

The first version of this type of whistle had a flatter one piece top and was stamped 'The Kinglet' J. H & Co's PATENT, this version then morphed into the second version after Hudson developing the two piece top in 1908...the thicker ring top was used until around the 1920/30s when it was replaced with the slightly thinner top.
