Item - Original Antique International Police Whistle produced by William Dowler & Sons Limited of Graham Street Works, Birmingham, England, Circa 1894-1904; this whistle is not stamped with the makers mark though when viewing up the mouthpiece a narrow, short rectangular piece of metal can be seen at the centre of the diaphragm, a design that was well used by Dowler... it was also used by Bent & Parker, J Barrall, H A Ward & T. Yates to a lesser extent though the design of the whistle points it firmly as being constructed by Dowler.
