Item - Original Antique WW1 (1914) Essex Special Constabulary Whistle produced by J. Hudson & Co of 244 Barr St, Birmingham, England. This particular example is also stamped to the top with the provisional patent 5727-08... which was granted to Hudson's in 1908 and comes complete with its original chain.

Due to the body stamps with the word 'Patent' being curved and there being a full stop after the '244' on the address we can date this whistle to 1914-19.
