Item - Scarce Original Antique East Sussex Constabulary Whistle produced by J. Hudson & Co of 244 Barr St, Birmingham, England. This particular example is also stamped to the top with the provisional patent 5727-08... which was granted to Hudson's in 1908 and comes complete with its original chain.
Due to the body stamps with the word 'Patent' being straight we can date this whistle to 1914-22. This particular example has an overlabel that would have covered an unwanted stamp on an otherwise sound whistle
