Item - HTF Vintage Cast Iron Bottle Opener made to advertise Stone Stout by Bent's Ales of Stone & Liverpool, Circa 1936-38.
The Opener is marked with the design registration which was granted in 1936, though unusually (never seen another) it is also marked with PT. APPLD FOR, which is to signify this opener was produced prior to the full patent being granted in 1938.

Marks - The Opener is cast to one sides with - BENT'S ALES and to the other side STONE STOUT; the opener is also cast to the top of the mouth on one side with the Design Registration Number 811274 (this granted in 1936), and to the other side PT. APPLD FOR (Patent Applied For) giving us the date of 1936/38.
