Other Interesting Points - HMS Ganges was built in Bombay in 1821 and was the last sailing ship to serve as a sea-going flagship....she was also known as Tenedos III, Indus V & Impregnable III. HMS Ganges was eventually broken up in Plymouth in 1930....with the teak being used to produce items such as this lovely little barrel....this is an early example of this type of nautical souvenir as the plaque is subtly placed to the underside...later versions have the plaque to the side.
