Item - Vintage Household 'Thrift' Savings Tin with hinged lid and sectioned interior, Circa 1960s. This particular example features characters around the sides including Mrs Rent Owin, Mr Payinto Club, Mrs Stay Athome, Messrs. Natty & Neat, Mrs Eveard Luck, Mrs Everso Prudent, Mrs Nothingto Ware, Mrs Happy Holiday, Mr Notin Club and Mrs Rent Paid. There is also four slogans as follows - Economy is half the battle of life, Cooperate with the inevitable, One man's folly is another man's fortune and It's not hard to earn money...as to spend it well (please see all photos).
