Item - Vintage Carr & Co. Limited Biscuit Tin - Adventure Tin (AKA Treasure Island Tin), Circa 1950/60s; complete with original paper labels attached to the base and side. The Tin is decorated to the top of the lid with a scene from Treasure Island, the inside of the lid is printed with a Treasure Island Map. The base of the tin is stamped with CARR & CO. LTD BISCUIT MANUFACTURERS CARLISLE ENGLAND, this can only be seen from the inside as the tin also features it's original paper label to the base showing what would have been the original contents. The sides of the tin are printed with various characters including Hornblower, Captain Bligh, Prince Rupert, Drake, Columbus, Captain Kidd, The Jolly Roger, Long John Silver, Robinson Crusoe and Rob Roy. One of the sides also features an original paper label that is printed with the details - Carr's of Carlisle ADVENTURE TIN ASSORTED ICED FINGERS MINIMUM WEIGHT 1LB (please see all photos).

Other Interesting Points - This rather hard to find tin is usually incorrectly referred to as 'The Treasure Island Tin' when it is actually called 'The Adventure Tin'....though what makes this already hard to find tin even more interesting is that it retains it's original paper labels.
