Item - Antique Sandow's Super Quality Cotton Covered Rubber Strand Chest Expander (Hercules Type) in Original Box complete with original four rubber strands (one is quite stretched) and original 22 Page Booklet.

The Instruction Book contains the following - Introduction Exercise Routine including 17 exercises Unused Self-Measurement Chart.

Maker - Sandow Appliance Company Limited of Huddersfield & London

Stamps - One of the handles still retains it's original Eugene Sandow signature transfer (often rubbed off).

Construction - Nickel Plated with Steel Springs and black stained wooden handles, Card Box and Instruction Book

Circa - 1910/30s

Box Dimensions - 6.75" in length

Boxed Weight - 653g

Condition - The Chest Expander is in Excellent Used Condition, the rubber strands are in Very Good Used Condition with just one appearing to be quite stretched as mentioned previously.

The Box is in Excellent Used Condition with just one corner of the top part having a tape repair, the booklet is also in Excellent Used Condition (Please see all Pics).

Pease note due to the age of the rubber cords we recommend that you replace if intending to use daily as an exerciser.

Other Interesting Points - Eugen Sandow (April 2, 1867 – October 14, 1925), born Friederich Wilhelm Müller, was a pioneering body-builder of the Victorian era and is often referred to as the "Father of Modern Body-building".
