Item - Antique Cased 9ct Gold 'Pince-Nez Spring Loaded Spectacles, Circa 1870/80s; the pince-nez are stamped to the rear of both nose pieces with 9C and what appears to be a cubed makers mark containing the letters S, R and one other, but it is unclear. The Pince-Nez come with a slip case that is printed to the front in gold with - ROWLEY & SON Opticians TO THE SUSSEX EYE & COUNTY HOSPITALS 128, St JAMES ST. BRIGHTON (Please See All Pics). The Pince-Nez are spring loaded so that they can be pulled slightly apart and popped onto the bridge of the nose. .
