Item  - Antique Victorian 2lb Cast Iron Nesting Weight by Millward of Birmingham, Circa 1850-60; make unusual paperweight or nice addition to collection. The weight has a lead insert which is stamped with a verification stamp.  

Maker - John Millward of Birmingham, England (merged with WC Day & Co in 1852 to become Day & Millward)  

Locality Stamp - 64 for Sunderland

Date Stamp - Non Found

Cipher Stamp - Victoria

Other Stamps - Cast to the top with the makers detail and 2lb.

Construction - Cast Iron

Country of Origin - England

Dimensions - 3.625" in diameter (1" in height)

Weight - 895 gram

Condition - Excellent Used Condition.  

Other Interesting Points - This is a rather nice Victorian cast iron weight that would make an interesting addition to a collection or even a paperweight for the desk!
