Item - Antique Hallmarked Solid Silver & Enamel Sauce Ladle by David Andersen of Oslo, Norway, Circa 1905-1925. The ladle features the Norwegian State Coat of Arms as used from 1905, finished in a vibrant red enamel.
David Andersen founded the company in Oslo in 1876, after his death in 1901, his son, Arthur Andersen took over the company and introduced enamelling and gold jewellery designs.
The hallmark on the back of the piece indicates 925 for sterling and then the David-Anderson maker's mark from the 1888 to 1925 period, so this ladle most certainly dates from 1905-1925.
