Item - Boxed Antique Meltrope Provisional Patent Gramophone Needle Sharpener by Amplifiers Limited of Billet Road, London, Circa 1930s in Original Box complete with a tin of Songster Needles, though this type of needle sharpener would have not been used with steel needles but more the fibre/thorn type needles (please see all pics). This is an early example having the Provisional Patent for 1930.

Makers Marks - Stamped to the inside of the handle with MELTROPE PAT 623/30 MADE BY AMPLIFIERS BILLET ROAD LONDON E17.
Circa - 1930s
Construction - Aluminium, Steel & Brass.

Dimensions - 6.25" in length.
Boxed Weight - 228 gram
Condition - Excellent Used Condition and in working order, the box has a little wear but still complete though two of the corners have been repaired with tape (please see all pics).
