Item - Rare Antique No.1 Silver's 1869 Patent Bill File as used for holding and filing US One Dollar Bills, Circa 1870/80s...most likely used within the banking industry. The first ever paper one dollar bill was introduced in 1862, this file was then patented 7 years later around the time of the first ever George Washington Dollar Bills....a truly unique and historical item (please see all photos)

Other Interesting Points - The paper label also has a further paper label attached to the top left hand corner with the number 2 printed upon...most likely the number of the cashier/teller who used it within the bank.
