Item - Antique 1909 Patent Zodiac Electro Massage Machine in original box produced by Thompson & Capper Limited, Manesty Buildings, College Road, Liverpool, England. This cased machine was produced at the early part of the 20th Century to supposedly cure many medical ailments such as Loss of Hair, Lumbago, Neuralgia, Wrinkles, Obesity, Rheumatism, Constipation, Nervous Disorders, etc; this was to be proved incorrect and was later to be known as quack medicine or quack medical practice. Other items were produced at the time including electro magneto coils (shocking coils), electro combs, etc... This hard to find machine is made from Solid Brass with a Nickel Plate and is stamped with the Patent details, the trademark name and the serial number 6209. I have personally tested the device and it still works delivering a electric charge. The machine comes complete with it's original attachment for use on patients and is superb condition appearing to have little or no use (please see pics).
