Item - Antique Brass Souvenir of the St Julien Canadian Memorial 'The Brooding Soldier' which commemorates the brave actions of the Canadian 1st Division in action on 22nd to 24th April 1915 after the German Army launched the first ever large-scale gas attack.
The Ornament is signed to the base with the makers initials ED and the word Depose, a French/Belgium equivalent of a British Registered Design Circa 1920s (please see all photos).
