Other Interesting Points - Calomel was a 'cure-all' wonder drug believe to be able to cure all ailments from simple stomach issues through to Yellow Fever and was still used in the 1940s to treat soldiers in ww2. The truth in fact was that rather than helping patients it was actually poisoning them as it contained Mercury Sub-Chloride, eventually it was replaced with better and safer medicines.
