The thermometer is hand stamped with the fahrenheit scale only and features indicators for BLOOD HEAT, SUMR HEAT, TEMPERATE and FREEZING.

Other Interesting Points - Mercer & Sons are still in business today and still going strong (http://www.mercer-sons.co.uk/) established in 1840 by Thomas Turner Mercer in the very shop that this thermometer is advertising on Northgate in Blackburn, Lancashire, England.
