Other Interesting Points - This is a fascinating enamel ashtray, I have had this some years now and have yet to draw any conclusions as to who Bernard was and where the places mentioned are to be found! My research has found that there is a Harrow Hill in West Sussex, but could neither find a Corn Hill or Windmill close by, any ideas please feel free to drop me a line tingirl@blueyonder.co.uk with any information. The ashtray is Enamel on a stove finish metal, Circa 1930s (possible earlier); the bowl of the ashtray has a green enamel grounf which has the image of a windmill sat on a hill and signed BJC, below this is the inscription 'From Harrow Hill to Corn Hill' and then signed Bernard. The base of the ashtray has its original felt covering attached as used to protect ones polished furniture.
