Vintage Shaving The 1935 The Laurel Vest Pocket Travel Safety Razor in Metal Case, Circa 1930/40s

This is a Gents 1935 Registered Design "Laurel" Vest Pocket Safety Razor in original metal case intended for the traveller, Circa 1930/40s. The razor comes in 4 parts, with the head having a chrome plated metal top, stamped LAUREL twice, the back of the head is made from Bakelite, moulded with the details -  MADE IN ENGLAND LAUREL REGD. No. 803255, with this design registration being granted in 1935 by the British Patents Office. The handle of the razor is made from knurled steel and comes in two parts, with the front part unscrewing from within the handle, the back part then turns around and the two pieces screw together to form a standard sized handle. This type of razor used a blade which unfortunately is unavailable anymore. The razor comes complete with its original metal case, which has a intergrated blade holder to the inside of the hinged top and is printed to the outside of the top with a laurel reef and the details - THE LAUREL VEST POCKET SAFETY RAZOR in silver and red (Please see all Photos) The Razor measures 3.25" in length, the case measures 2" by 1.75", with a height of 0.625", with all items of the kit in Excellent used Conditon.
